How Our Virtual Apprenticeship Program Works

Our flexible online curriculum allows apprentices to complete their mandatory theoretical education from anywhere, while simultaneously gaining hands-on, On-the-Job Training (OJT) at their sponsoring salon or spa. We ensure you meet all Virginia State Board requirements to confidently pass your exams.

To comply with Virginia Works and DPOR regulations, apprentices must:

  • Step 1: Secure a licensed sponsor (salon/spa) for your hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT).

  • Step 2: Register your apprenticeship with the Virginia Department of Workforce Development (Virginia Works).

  • Step 3: Enroll in our Virtual RTI program to complete your required theoretical hours online through the Milady CIMA platform.

Our comprehensive Cosmetology Virtual RTI Program is designed to cover the essential science, theory, and business practices required for real-world success. Powered by the industry-leading CIMA by Milady platform, this 100% online theoretical curriculum perfectly complements your in-salon On-the-Job Training (OJT).

Master Esthetician Apprenticeship (Virtual RTI Curriculum)

Advanced Anatomy & Physiology: In-depth study of the lymphatic, cardiovascular, and endocrine systems.

Module 2

Advanced Skin Disorders: Identifying complex dermatological conditions and contraindications.

Module 3

Chemical Peels & Exfoliation Theory: The science of AHAs, BHAs, TCA, and advanced exfoliation protocols.

Module 4

Laser & Light Therapy Fundamentals: The physics of IPL, LED, and laser safety (ANSI standards).

Module 5
