Our Instructor Training Program is designed for licensed cosmetologists ready to advance their careers.
You’ll learn how to teach effectively, manage classrooms, and prepare students for real-world success — all while fulfilling the requirements of the Virginia State Board for Barbers and Cosmetology.

Through a combination of classroom learning, online modules, and hands-on teaching practice, you’ll develop the skills to become a respected, knowledgeable beauty educator.

By graduation, you will be able to:

Who Can Apply

  • Hold a valid Virginia Cosmetology License.

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Complete the Beyond Studio Academy enrollment process (application, interview, and registration fee).

Prior teaching experience is not required — we’ll train you from the ground up!

State-Approved for Instructor Certification

The Instructor Training Program at Beyond Studio Academy meets the standards set by the Virginia State Board for Barbers and Cosmetology.

Graduates are fully prepared to take the Instructor Licensing Exam and begin teaching in Virginia-approved beauty schools.
